在2018年滑铁卢国际数学竞赛中，东辰高中国际精英课程中心参赛学生捷报频传！高一9名学生参加Galois竞赛，其中2名同学获得荣誉奖章(全球top 5%)，5名同学获得荣誉证书(全球top 25%)；
高二6名学生参加Hypatia竞赛，其中1名同学获得荣誉奖章(全球top 5%)，3名同学获得荣誉证书(全球top 25%)。这是对同学们能力的认可，对以上获奖同学表示热烈祝贺！

滑铁卢国际数学竞赛
滑铁卢国际数学竞赛总共有13个不同竞赛类别，是一个覆盖7-12年级的全系列数学竞赛，是面向全世界高中生的加拿大官方数学竞赛，在国际上具有广泛的影响。
它是由全世界最大的数学学院Waterloo大学数学系的加拿大数学与计算机教育中心（CEMC）举办。该竞赛始于1963年，迄今已有55年历史，累积近30万名来自世界各地的学生参加过该竞赛，是一项受到全球各大顶尖名校（包括哈佛大学、耶鲁大学、牛津大学、剑桥大学等）普遍认可的权威国际赛事。
在2018年滑铁卢国际数学竞赛中，2025年澳门原料免费更新总成绩位于全球第39名。根据2017年的统计数据，全球共有188所中学（不含加拿大本土学校）参加滑铁卢国际数学竞赛。

首先对获奖的同学们表示祝贺，也希望以后能有更多的学生积极参与，争取取得更加优异的成绩。高一同学们参加的Galois竞赛和高二同学们参加的Hypatie 竞赛都一共有4道题，每道题的难度一次增大。最后一道的难度最大，因此是拉分题。想要取得高分，需要多做历年考题，总结出经验。希望同学们再接再厉。

Although some of the questions on the contest were challenging and the contest itself highly competitive since top students from all over the world participated, our students showed very good results, and demonstrated superb use of mathematical logic, mathematical reasoning and mathematical techniques.
Our students Mengyuan Zhang and Linlong Ma (grade 10) achieved score of 34 out of 40 marks, and the student Liuxi Jiang (grade 11) achieved score of 32 marks out of 40 marks.
We congratulate our students for these results, for the knowledge and skills they showed and for good representation of our school.
We as a school are determined to follow the path of excellence and to constantly develop our student’s extracurricular activities and broaden their interests, knowledge and experience, as well as to permanently bring high quality education which will make our students very successful in their future studies on the famous universities in US, Canada, UK and Australia.
